The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) hosted the 19th ICC Environment Partnership Summit & Excellence Awards 2025 on 8 January 2026 at The Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata. The ceremony served as a national platform to recognise exemplary environmental initiatives during the performance year 2024-25. It honoured organisations who are championing sustainability and environmental efficiency.

Consuitivo had the privilege of serving as the Knowledge Partner at the prestigious event for impartial evaluation of environment awards.

The ceremony was an esteemed gathering of over 120 Policymakers, Industry Leaders and Sustainability Champions. Over 20 environmental visionaries and experts shared their impactful insights at the event.

Key Insights from Visionaries

The inaugural session featured a special address by Mr. P. K. Bhardwaj, Chief General Manager of NABARD. He highlighted the need to adopt innovative recycling methods and incorporate circular economy principles to tackle escalating environmental challenges.

Prof. (Dr.) Anirban Gupta — Chairman, State Level Expert Appraisal Committee & Professor, IIEST, Shibpur spoke on the revolution of the circular economy and how it is influencing our transition towards environmental sustainability. He emphasised on ‘rethinking’ waste, resources, and innovation and highlighted that the circular economy is not just an idea – it’s a movement.

An insightful special address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) K.M. Agrawal, Director of Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata where he highlighted several innovative, environmentally sustainable initiatives and spoke about emerging trends such as green technology and sustainable urban planning. Additionally, he emphasised that collaboration between environmental organisations and educational institutions is essential for advancing an inclusive and effective approach to long-term environmental sustainability.

Prof. Joyashree Roy, Distinguished Professor and Founder Director of the SMARTS Center at the Asian Institute of Technology, delivered a thought-provoking address on ‘ESG & BRSR: Driving Sustainable Business Transformation’, engaging the audience with insights on how businesses can embrace sustainability as a core driver of growth and excellence.

Diverse Industries Under One Roof

The participating organisations at the ceremony came from a wide range of industries – Power, Mining, Iron & Steel, Heavy Engineering, Cement & Allied Products, Oil, Gas, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Services (IT, Financial, Healthcare, Retail, and more).

Evaluation Framework

The environmental and sustainability initiatives of the organisations were evaluated, graded and awarded on the basis of industry sector (Service & Manufacturing), size of industry (LBO, MBO and SBO), Statutory compliance, Environmental leadership, environmental governance, people and capacity building, and programme and performance.

Award Categories

The awards were presented in three categories – large business organisations (LBO) or organisations with annual turnover of more than 250 crores, medium business organisations (MBO) or organisations with annual turnover of more than 75 crores but less than 250 crores and small business organisations (SBO) i.e. Organisations with annual turnover of up to 75 crores.

The 19th ICC Environment Excellence Awards 2025 Winners

Adani Gangavaram Port Limited (AGPL) was honoured with the Environmental Excellence Award – Platinum Category for exceptional environmental stewardship, innovative green practices, and energy-efficient technologies.
Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) was awarded the 19th Indian Chamber of Commerce Champion – Environment Excellence 2025 Award.
Adani Cement was recognised for leadership in environmental stewardship and sustainable industrial practices.
