Definition of ESG
Apart from the environmental issues like climate change, and environmental protection, ESG covers social issues like a company’s labour practices, talent management, product safety and data security. It also covers governance matters like board diversity, executive pay and business ethics.
What is the full form of ESG?
Full form of ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance.
- E in ESG, environmental criteria, includes the energy, waste, resources used, carbon emissions, climate change and the consequences for the ecosystem as a result.
- S, social criteria, address labour relations, diversity and inclusion.
- G, governance, is the internal system of practices, controls, and procedures a company adopts in order to govern itself, make effective decisions, comply with the law, and meet the needs of external stakeholders.
Just as ESG is an inextricable part of any business, its individual elements are themselves intertwined.
Why is ESG Reporting important?
Any development project needs substantial investment. This investment can come from domestic as well as international banks & financial institutions.

What are the Standards for ESG?
