This Client Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour and engagement we expect from our clients and their representatives. These principles help ensure a respectful, transparent, and trustworthy working relationship.
Scope
This Code applies to:
- Clients engaging Consultivo for any service
- Client employees, representatives, contractors, and intermediaries involved in the engagement
1. Ethical Business Conduct
Clients are expected to:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Avoid bribery, corruption, facilitation payments, or improper influence
- Not offer gifts, benefits, or inducements that could compromise professional independence
Consultivo maintains zero tolerance for unethical or unlawful practices.
2. Independence and Professional Integrity
Clients must:
- Respect Consultivo’s independence, objectivity, and professional judgement
- Refrain from attempting to influence findings, conclusions, or recommendations
- Accept evidence-based outcomes, even where conclusions may be unfavourable
This is particularly critical for audits, due diligence, assessments, and assurance engagements.
3. Accuracy and Transparency of Information
Clients are expected to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information relevant to the engagement
- Disclose known risks, incidents, regulatory matters, or material facts
- Avoid misrepresentation, concealment, or selective disclosure of information
The quality of outcomes depends on the integrity of information shared.
4. Respectful and Professional Behaviour

Clients should:
- Treat Consultivo personnel with dignity, fairness, and respect
- Maintain a harassment-free, non-discriminatory working environment
- Avoid abusive, coercive, or threatening behaviour in any form
Consultivo is committed to safeguarding the well-being of its people.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Clients must:
- Respect confidentiality obligations agreed as part of the engagement
- Use information shared by Consultivo only for its intended purpose
- Adhere to agreed data protection, information security, and cybersecurity protocols
Consultivo takes information security and privacy seriously.
6. Health, Safety, and Site Conduct
Where services involve site visits or on-site work, clients are expected to:
- Provide a safe and healthy working environment
- Comply with applicable occupational health and safety requirements
- Inform Consultivo of known site-specific risks in advance
7. Responsible Business and ESG Expectations
Where relevant, clients are encouraged to:
- Respect human rights and fair labour practices
- Avoid activities linked to forced labour, child labour, or severe environmental harm
- Engage constructively on ESG risks, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities
8. Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with this Client Code of Conduct may result in:
- Formal communication or clarification
- Suspension of services
- Termination of the engagement
- Reporting to authorities, where legally required
Actions taken will be proportionate to the nature and severity of the issue.
9. Shared Responsibility
This Code is intended to promote mutual trust, clarity, and accountability. Consultivo believes that ethical and respectful collaboration is a shared responsibility and a foundation for long-term value creation.
