This award function was held in Kolkata during the month of December 2016 and the assessment process including application evaluation, presentation by the applicants, scoring, on site visit to the short-listed applicants was coordinated by ICC and Consultivo.

The purpose of this award is to evaluate an organisation’s concern towards the well-being of the society through adequate measures, not only for regulatory requirements but also as a part of the management’s commitment towards ensuring that the people and planet are adequately protected through effective environmental measures. This award acknowledges the vision and exemplary commitment of the organisation for environmental responsibility, improvement in environmental performance & the society as a whole

Consultivo is a sustainability advisory firm involved in audit, training, research & consulting. Being the Knowledge Partner for this award, Consultivo provided the framework and relevant technical support for the award and organised it in terms of –

• Preparation of guideline and application form
• Evaluation of application
• Presentation of the evaluation report in front of the jury panel
• Preparation of score sheet format
• Suggest suitable and a senior industry representative for the jury panel

Based on the applications, the award was divided into 3 categories, namely:

• Large Business Organisations (LBO)
• Medium Business Organisations (MBO)
• Small Business Organisations (SBO)

The awards were distributed to the winners and the runner ups as judged by a committee of eminent business leaders, management experts, environment professionals, economists, judges & other eminent personalities.

This award event was a great success giving the organisations an opportunity for recognition as well as an insightful perspective on their practices & performance.
