The event’s climate neutrality approach aligns with globally recognised frameworks, including ISO 14068-1 (Carbon Neutrality) and ISO 20121 (Sustainable Event Management).
These standards promote transparency, credibility, and accountability.
As a climate neutral event, this reception will ensure that emissions be first avoided and then reduced wherever possible and unavoidable emissions be measured and offset through trusted, independently verified climate projects.
This approach aligns with the globally accepted principle – reduce first, then offset.
This Climate Neutral Event will reduce its footprint by:
- Low-carbon catering characterised by a plant-forward menu to lower emissions intensity, support hyper-local sourcing of perishable ingredients, and promote zero-waste protocols, eliminating single-use plastics.
- Sustainable mobility characterised by encouragement of electric vehicle use and shared mobility options to reduce single-occupancy travel.
- Energy efficiency characterised by near 100% LED lighting for event illumination and staging.
- Digital-first experience characterised by paperless invitations and QR-based engagement, reducing material and logistics emissions.
It is to be noted that in spite of every effort, some emissions still remain unavoidable. At the event, these emissions will be responsibly neutralised.
Doing so, it will support UN-recognised climate action projects in India, aligned with national and global climate goals, which contribute to clean energy generation, emissions reduction at scale and India’s transition towards a low-carbon economy.
The event reflects a shared commitment to demonstrating that prestigious, large-scale gatherings can thoughtfully align with climate responsibility while preserving elegance and experience.
