The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) organised another engaging & successful session of Green Biz Quiz 2019 with Consultivo as its knowledge partner, was held on 26 April 2019 at Kolkata, India.
Quizzes on Environment are pro-bono initiative by Consultivo as a part of our commitment to society & environment to create awareness about our environment & ecosystem among the industries & corporate organisations.
Quizzes on Environment:
Every year, this quiz is organised as an initiative to create awareness about the environment, sustainability and ecosystem. This year, 12 enthusiastic teams from eminent industries & corporate organisations such as Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, SAIL, IOCL, Haldia Energy Ltd., Electrosteel Castings Ltd., Berger Paints India Ltd, IRC Agrochemicals Pvt. Ltd., and MCPI Pvt Ltd. participated in the Green Biz Quiz. Over the years, the Green Biz Quiz has created a high level of spirit among the industries and also been instrumental in changing the perception of people regarding the environmental & sustainability stewardship of corporate bodies.
Winner: Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd.
1st Runner-up: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.
2nd Runner-up: Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd.
Mr Rajib Sanyal, the renowned quiz master conducted the Green Biz quiz in an engaging & interesting way. The quiz began with the preliminary round through which the top 8 teams scoring the highest qualified among the 12 participating teams for the final rounds. It was a close call as the participating teams gave a tough competition right from the beginning.
It was quite interesting to see all the teams giving each other an encouraging & tough competition. This quiz provided the participants with an opportunity to experience the thrill and joy of sharing their green knowledge and being more aware about our environment & surroundings.
All throughout the different quiz rounds, there were questions on different environmental awareness topics ranging from EHS, climate change to sustainability, CSR, and much more throughout the quiz rounds. One of the interesting & unique highlights of the event was the active engagement of the teams who did not qualify in the screening round but made the most of it by participating as audience and won gift hampers for answering the audience questions correctly.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr Saikat Basu, CEO & Chief Mentor, Consultivo, Mr. Saugata Mahindar, Chief Manager – Environment Services, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd & Mr. Sumit Kumar Das, Member – Safety Services, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd.
In the concluding session, Mr Saikat Basu, CEO & Chief Mentor, Consultivo congratulated all the participants and also shared his insights on environment & Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) encouraging everyone to contribute to a sustainable environment and be more responsible towards our planet earth.
The green biz quiz aims to create positive environmental impact, with participating teams appreciating the initiative, urging more organizations to join and spread the word.
