Consultivo proudly stood as the technical partner for the 17th edition of the CII Safety Symposium and Exposition – Eastern Region, meticulously orchestrated by the Confederation of Indian Industry at the prestigious ITC Sonar on August 22 and 23, 2023. This year’s symposium centered around the theme “Synergizing OHS with ESG goals.”
The symposium’s opening day commenced with an inaugural session graced by Mr. Rajiv Mangal, Chairman of CII Eastern Region Safety Taskforce and Vice President of Safety, Health and Sustainability at Tata Steel Ltd, who delivered a warm Welcome Address. Subsequently, the focus shifted to the Safety, Health, and Environment Excellence Awards, where Mr. Saikat Basu, Chief Mentor at Consultivo Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., provided enlightening insights. The symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation from 71 industry organizations. The first day’s agenda encompassed impactful sessions such as “Leadership Role in Defining ESG Goals,” “Building Resilient Strategies for Implementation of ESG goals,” and “Fire Hazards and Adoption of ESG in the Construction Industry.”
Day 2 embarked with a session dedicated to the “Re-engineering of the Mining Industry” and its consequent influence on ESG practices. The symposium then progressed to a comprehensive discussion on “User-Friendly PPE for Improving Compliance,” concluding with a session that delved into the “Changing Role of Safety Leaders with the Emergence of the ESG framework.”
The 17th Safety Symposium and Exposition 2023, a nexus of insights and collaboration, affirmed Consultivo’s commitment as a steadfast supporter of safety and ESG integration. The event reiterates the industry’s collective dedication to harmonize Occupational Health and Safety practices with ESG principles for a safer, sustainable, and prosperous future.

This CII Consultivo joint report offers quantitative and qualitative insights into the transformative potential of Occupation Health and Safety projects, initiatives, and OHS activities of Indian Companies.
Through research and analysis, this report seeks to highlight the efficacy of the impact assessment of these OHS parameters.
